Add and Configure Components
Find and place components on the canvas, edit their configuration with the form Kanvas builds from the component definition, and lock, duplicate, copy, and paste them.
These guides cover the tasks you perform while authoring a design in Designer mode. Each one accomplishes a single task and assumes you know what a design, a component, and a relationship are. If you do not, read Designs and Components and Relationships first.
Authoring happens only in Designer mode. Operator mode shows live cluster state and blocks adding, editing, duplicating, and deleting components.

For how Kanvas decides which relationships exist and keeps their configuration in sync, read Policy Evaluation.

Sketch freehand, draw annotation lines, and add shapes, text, sections, images, and comments alongside real components.
Keep the models you use most one step away in the dock, and remove them when you no longer need them.
Add labels and annotations to components and see components that share labels grouped into TagSets on the canvas.
