Share a Design
Give specific people access to a design, set its visibility, share a link, and revoke access. Covers who can share, what a grant allows, and what fails.
A design is one record with one owner. These guides cover how other people reach it and how you discuss it with them. Access is per person and has no access level: everyone who can open a design can edit it. Comments are part of the design, and they work in Designer mode.
| Goal | Guide |
|---|---|
| Give specific people access, change visibility, copy a link, or revoke access | Share a Design |
| Leave threaded comments, mention people, resolve threads, and control email | Review a Design with Comments |
Live co-editing needs no setup. When two people have the same saved design open, they see each other’s cursors, selections, and edits. Collaboration Model explains how live editing, access, and comments fit together. To try all three with a teammate, follow the Collaborative Editing tutorial.
Sharing and comments run under your permissions. Sharing needs the Share Design permission, and the people picker needs View All Users. See Permissions by Role.
